Galleon on Red Sea

My painting Galleon on Red Sea won an honorable mention at the recent Summer National Juried Exhibition at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato, California. Juror Brian Gross of Brian Gross Fine Art said it was different and reminded him of H. C. Westermann’s work. I appreciate the acknowledgement by such an esteemed art aficionado, to this peice, which represnts a new direction in my work, towards figuration.
