5.25.21  Art Cubes

Part of the 2021-2022 lockdown was spent creating painted wooden cubes showing abstracts, flowers, icebergs and more. The idea for these were inspired by Charles & Ray Eames, who teach us about the importance of artful play as a way of  learning and inspiring innovation.

3.8.21  Floral Cubes

Floral Cubes is a fun, art game made up of nine 1″x1″x1″ black cubes. Each of the six sides of the cube has a flower (or a bird) image printed on it. It’s available for sale here.

2.15.21  Ice Cubes

This video shows the turning of five paintings of icebergs and one multi-colored key on 36 6-sided cubes called Ice Cubes , 6″h. x 6″w. x 1″d.

8.11.20  Florals

These new floral bouquet paintings intermingle color, pattern and shape in expressive ways that pays homage to 17th C. Dutch still life painting, as a natural extension of his interest in bringing abstraction and narrative together in an improvisational process activated by the sound and feeling of music and dance.

Some of these pieces are showing at the Sofie Contemporary Arts in Calistoga, California beginning  till October 2020. The floral art featured on a utility box in Dublin, California will stay for a while.

2.23.19  Slot Canyons

Inspired by the slot canyons of Utah, these acrylic on canvas paintings are the largest and most hypnotic works Bill has made. Each piece measures 72″h. by 48″w.

1.21.19  Sinister Forms

Explorations with natural and archetypal forms in tempera on paper. Most works are 24″h. by 36″w.

6.1.18   Succulent Garden

This new painting called Succulent Garden is 43″ square and is a dramatic departure from his non-representation work, yet retains the painterly and fluid forms Bill uses.
