New Naturals

Using natural, recycled, common and unexpected media, these three Bay Area artists create images that simultaneously evoke a sense of the known and unknown, the real and imagined. Dedicated to innovation of materials and excellence of technique, Nunn, Russell and Ward reveal the source of their intermingled media and crafting in surprising ways. Raw wood, molten glass-burned surfaces, stacks of archival microprint paper, and even paper wasp nests, are all fused into works that at first defy comprehension of their origin.
