Here are some helpful FAQ’s about the process:
Will we work together?
Of course. It’s a collaboration. This process requires lots of communication. We will discuss which of the available artworks you are interested in. I’ll share the intention or narrative I had about a piece of art. I want to support you in making the right choice for you, your taste and considerations and the specifics of your interior space.
I’m not sure what I would choose?
Start with a look at my website, Instagram and store. I work in a variety of styles, from abstracts to narratives, drawings, collages and paintings. Which pieces resonate with you? Email me any questions you have about artwork size, availability and cost. I’ll return with answers and a few questions for you. We can proceed via email or a phone call or a virtual meeting.
How will it look on my wall?
Email me a few photos of your walls and interior space. Using PhotoShop, I will edit images of artworks into these in situ spaces, to help you in your considerations. From this you’ll get a better sense of the appropriateness and scale of the artwork in your home. I have high resolution photos of most of my work, so if desired, I can provide you with closeup details, in order to give you a better sense of the complexity and meticulousness of the piece.
How much does it cost?
Take time to know what your budget will bear. I will provide you, upfront, with accurate costs for my artwork, which vary depending on originality, medium, size, etc. The cost of original drawings run $100 to $1000. Giclee and letterpress prints cost $80 to $500 depending on size and edition. Mixed media works may range in price from $250 to $2500. Paintings range from $500 to $9000. Occasionally, I offer coupons with 5% or 10% discounts. Ask me about it. There are incidental fees. Shipping fees vary. I do not charge for shipping small items. Some drawings and prints can be rolled and shipped inexpensively. A framed painting can cost several hundred dollars to ship safely via UPS. I am required to charge state sales taxes, typically 8.5%, depending the state you live in. I offer a variety of payment options, incl. all credit cards, check, PayPal, Venmo, etc. I will provide a receipt with all the details, that you can often use as a business tax deduction. You can sometimes claim the purchase of artwork for decorating your home office.
How long does it take?
The time this process takes varies from adjudication through final delivery. Finding that right piece of art requires some thought. My clients and collectors could take a few days to a few weeks to decide. It takes just a few weeks for framing and delivery of artworks.
